Our family has been dreaming of this for a long time and we are beyond excited to finally share Sol Bowls of Emerald Isle, NC a place that is not only good for your body but good for your soul. We are proud to be serving the freshest fruits and providing healthy options for our community.
Now that does not mean we won’t be sneaking in a few treats every now and then. Our menu will include smoothie bowls (açaí bowls), smoothies and coffee. Island life brings high tides and good vibes. Come fuel not only your body but your soul. Sol Bowls is filled with sunshine, good music, tasty treats and great people.

About the founders
Rick and Janeen
Hey Friends, Janeen here
Born, raised, and never left our small town in Pennsylvania until about 2.5 years ago, when God set a path before our family of 5 that was scary as anything, but we had faith we were meant to live in Emerald Isle.
Our family of 5 is Rick, my husband. He is a fantastic Web Designer, runs his own digital marketing business, and loves to work a lot!! Our daughter is 22, is currently finishing her degree in business education, is a college basketball player, and is passionate about the game. Our middle son is 20 living in Garner, finishing his degree at Wake Tech. He works at Starbucks and is passionate about programming and video games, he also has a fine taste for steak and potatoes. Last but not least is our 17-year-old, a junior at Croatan. He plays football and basketball, but honestly, if you could leave him in the water year-round surfing, that’s where you would find him!
I love volunteering and community involvement and helping local charities. My favorite activity is running. Most mornings, you will find me on the bike path pounding out miles and saying hello to everyone I pass! I enjoy working out with FIA of the Crystal Coast and our local Emerald Isle Run Club. I have completed 3 Full marathons and multiple halves, and I love to get muddy running Spartan races and competing in my age group!
Our favorite time is summer when we can enjoy time on the boat and everything our beautiful island offers. I love throwing the cast net and catching big fish.
This is something we would never have had the opportunity to do in Pennsylvania! We love being on the water or beach any time of the year!
We fell in love with Açaí bowls 10 years ago in Ocean City, NJ, our family’s favorite place to vacation, and we wanted to share that experience with everyone!
Our goal is to make you feel at home while you fuel not only your body but your soul while soaking in the good life and Island vibes!
Fun fact about me I was on Double Dare in 1988 in 8th grade! Sadly we lost, but it was a great experience.
